Is this being selfish and thoughtless?

Im thinking he might be being a little selfish, but he really might be have a lot on his mind and takes things differently then you. i think the best thing to is probably to mention that its annoying and if you hear something like that thatll help me, try to remember to tell me. Hopefully he's a good enough friend, like you and will listen to what you want and actually try. So i don't think you are being selfish.
